Vancouver Signs l Custom Exterior Signs

Every now and then we get asked to create something really interesting so when we were approached by Castle Communication systems to create a custom exterior sign for Wesbrook dental we were intriqued.
Wesbrook is a new dental clinic located at 3328 Wesbook Mall in the new UBC development. They have a large cast aluminum plate on the front of their building and we were tasked with figuring out how to build the lovely sign you see above.
Custom exterior signs keep things interesting for us and there's nothing we like more than a challenge. In the end we used a varnished wood block with a thin layer of aluminum to create the brushed aluminum graphic you see on the wood block.
The letters are painted acrylic to ensure they will look great for years to come. We considered wood for the letters as well but because of their small size they would have been very susceptible to damage and the environment.
